Homeopathy and Skin Issues

This is an excerpt from a Reddit post I made recently responding to someone asking how effective Homeopathy was with skin issues. From the practitioner's standpoint, there are two major challenges in dealing with skin issues . The first issue is suppression. The skin tends to be a vent for discharge. Stuff shows up there after the liver and kidneys prove to be insufficient to discharge whatever it is that the body's trying to get rid of. The material gets discharged to the skin, and then you get an opportunistic infection. Most typically fungal, but it can also be bacterial or even viral also to some degree. If you close that vent without dealing with the underlying issue toxicity, that material can no longer escape the body. Then you get into more serious and more internal problems such as asthma, which is the most common, but also musculoskeletal and uh, autoimmune and neurological, cognitive, metabolic, on and on.
The second significant issue a homeopath has to deal with in a case with skin symptoms as a priority is that these can take a long time to resolve, and sometimes it's the case that the symptoms will get worse before they get better, at least in the short term.
All of this is it may seem to be me saying that homeopathy is not great for skin issues, to the contrary, I think homeopathy is perhaps the best treatment modality for dealing with many skin issues because homeopathy can get to a genuine cure that won't result in side-effects, or making the underlying issue turn into something worse, i.e. palliating. But I always caution clients when i'm dealing with a case like this, that they might be in for some time to get it resolved. What we're looking to create is a slow, steady improvement ending with a cured state. Patience is often required in these cases.
Again, I personally love to treat skin cases because the results are so visible and tangible and dramatic, and because homeopathy tends to be very effective with skin stuff. But it can take awhile.
